Amsterdam 7th January 2025: Q4 2024 Activity report
In December 2024, the KC Foundation made disbursements of € 571 973 to 17 beneficiaries, a mix of anchor projects and food banks, across eight countries and including a €70k donation to a leukaemia research charity (Comitato Maria Letizia Verga) in Italy to honour the memory of our colleague, Maurice Kanza. The December donations fit in with our usual annual cycle of donations in July and in December after the Charity Trading Day. The 5th annual Charity Trading Day on U.S. Thanksgiving on Thursday, 28th November was a remarkable success raising over € 350k. Our 11th round of donations in December took us to just under € 6m worth of donations since inception.
Client fund-raising events on Q4 included a concert in Paris where our global strategist, Arnaud Girod, narrated ‘Peter and the Wolf’ to an audience of children and their parents (54 adults and 52 children) to the accompaniment of l’Orchestre de l’Université Paris Sciences et Lettres. Additionally, there was a client drinks event in Milan in honour of Maurice Kanza which raised € 5 100.
Since its creation in March 2020 and its legal incorporation in June 2020, the Foundation has distributed a total of € 5,944 million to beneficiaries. The foundation’s current donation efforts are focused on medical and social care & inclusion organisations dedicated to children (Necker-Enfants Malades children’s hospital), Het Vergeten Kind (the Forgotten Child) etc. and Food Banks.
The Foundation’s income comes from Kepler Cheuvreux itself via monthly donations, voluntary deductions from bonus for employees, voluntary payroll deductions, the annual Charity Trading Day, various ad hoc Kepler Cheuvreux client events where clients are invited to donate to the Foundation.
