Amsterdam 3rd October 2024: Q3 2024 Activity report
In July 2024, the KC Foundation made disbursements of € 500 000 to our eleven anchor projects across eight European countries. The July donations fit in with our usual annual cycle of donations in July and in December after the Charity Trading Day. Kepler Cheuvreux will hold its 5th annual Charity Trading Day on U.S. Thanksgiving on Thursday, 28th November. Our 10th round of donations in July took us comfortably over the symbolic bar of € 5m worth of donations since inception.
Kepler Cheuvreux was honoured to host Olivier Goy as guest speaker at our Autumn Conference in Paris. Olivier was invited as a representative of the Institut du Cerveau in Paris. Olivier spoke about his struggles with ALS (maladie de Charcot), and we watched an excerpt of his remarkable film ‘Invincible été’. Thanks to donations from clients, KC staff and Kepler Cheuvreux itself, the KC Foundation was able to donate a further € 10 391 to the Institut du Cerveau to help fund their world-leading research into ALS.
Since its creation in March 2020 and its legal incorporation in June 2020, the Foundation has distributed a total of € 5,372 million to beneficiaries. The foundation’s current donation efforts are focused on medical and social care organisations dedicated to children (Necker-Enfants Malades children’s hospital), Het Vergeten Kind (the Forgotten Child) etc. and Food Banks.
The Foundation’s income comes from Kepler Cheuvreux itself via monthly donations, voluntary deductions from bonus for employees, voluntary payroll deductions, the annual Charity Trading Day, various ad hoc Kepler Cheuvreux client events where clients are invited to donate to the Foundation.
